Have you ever tried to pour water into a gallon sized jug that still had a lid tightly capped into place? Would you even try? Trying to teach children math, language, reading, and social/behavioral skills when they are dysregulated is the same as trying to pour water into a jug with a lid on it. Until we remove the barrier, nothing is going to get inside.
